Vzhledem k finanční dostupnosti ultrasonografických přístrojů se USG vyšetření psa a kočky stává standardní diagnostickou metodou používanou v ordinacích malých zvířat. Bylo jen otázkou času, kdy v řadě manuálů britské asociace veterinárních lékařů malých zvířat vznikne publikace věnovaná této diagnostické technice. Kolektivu autorů se podařilo na několika stranách standardné manuálového formátu seznámit čtenáře nejen z řad veterinárních lékařů, ale především studentů veterinární medicíny vytvořit přehlednou a srozumitelnou publikaci osvětlující principy a praktické využití ultrasonografického vyšetření. Publikace je doplněna obrazovou dokumentací na DVD.
