Toto nové vydání staví na praktické struktuře svého předchůdce a jeho kapitoly jsou uspořádány anatomicky. Jednotlivé klouby, dlouhé kosti, lebka a páteř jsou řešeny v samostatných částech, zatímco měkké tkáně, kosti a klouby jsou považovány obecněji.
II. vydání oblíbeného BSAVA manuálu bylo důkladně revidováno a aktualizováno. Nové kapitoly věnované inovativním zobrazovacím metodám, jako je CT, MRI a ultrasonografie, rozšiřují rozsah manuálu. Indikace pro použití těchto metod a a ilustrace dodávají této relativně nové oblasti muskuloskeletálního zobrazování hloubku.
