Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Dogs and Cats, 2nd Edition
Po sedmi letech vydali světově uznávaní autoři publikaci zaměřenou na orální a maxillofaciální chirurgii psů a koček, která vznikla ve spolupráci s humánními lékaři. Publikace je tradičně rozdělena do 12 částí a dále je členěna na kapitoly. V první teoretické části se autoři věnují hojivým a reparačním procesům orální dutiny. Druhá kapitola je přehledem používaných zobrazovacích technik, používaného instrumentária, aseptickými technikami, materiály. Tato kapitola je bohatě zdokumentována kvalitními RTG snímky, USG, CT a MRI záznamy. Na tuto kapitolu navazuje další část zabývající se exodoncií. Jednotlivé postupy jsou krok za krokem bohatě ilustrovány barevnými fotografiemi a obrázky. Další kapitola se zabývá principy periodontální chirurgie. Hojení maxilofaciálních traumat jsou řešena v rozsáhlé šesté částí. Celá sedmá část popisuje zákroky na temporomandubulárním kloubu. Novou kapitolou je temporomandibularní kloubní ankylózy a pseudoankylózy. V části osmé se čtenáří dozví, jak co nejlépe opravovat defekty patra. Nad devátou kapitolou zaplesá radostí srdéčko onkologů, neboť se dozví jak zvládnout novotvary v orální dutině. Desátá kapitola řeší chirurgické zákroky na slinných žlázách. Do jedenácté části autoři zahrnuli ostatní chirurgické zákroky prováděné v orální dutině jako např. odstranění neprořezaných zubů, korekce měkkého patra, pharyngotomie a pharyngostomie. Zajisté zajímavou je poslední část publikace věnovaná orálnímu přístupu do nosní dutiny, uší a hrdla. Každý výtisk publikace je opět vybaven jedinečným přístupovým heslem, který vizuálně rozvíjí a doplňuje informace v této publikaci obsažené.
