The newly revised second edition of Clostridial Diseases of Animals is a timely update to the gold-standard resource for veterinary practitioners treating clostridial disease in animals. This is a comprehensive, detailed reference that emphasizes clinically relevant information on pathogenesis, pathology, microbiology, diagnostic techniques, clinical management, and treatment.
The Second Edition takes a new One Health perspective, offering brand-new chapters that cover enteric, histotoxic, and neurotoxic clostridial diseases in animals and humans. The book also explores the reclassification of C. perfringens, providing references throughout to explain the level of evidence supporting each conclusion.
Inside the book:
A thorough treatment of clostridial diseases with accurate coverage of new information and technologies
A reorganized gastrointestinal section reflecting the changes to the classification of C. perfringens
Practical discussions of enteric, histotoxic, and neurotoxic clostridial diseases
Fully cited references demonstrating the evidence base
Written for veterinary clinicians, diagnosticians, pathologists, and microbiologists, Clostridial Diseases of Animals will also benefit regulators working in government agencies with a stake in this issue, as well as veterinary students.
